Krisztina Dávid's biography


The Hungarian soprano was born in Budapest. She started her career as a dancer, and followed as an operetta-soubrette. Her debut was the role of Cosette (Schönberg: Les miserables) in the Operetta Theatre of Budapest.

In the recent years she had performances and concerts in Austria, Germany, Spain, Luxemburg, Switzerland, the U.S.A., and Hungary (Hungarian State aopera House, Erkel Theatre, Szeged Opera House, Redute of Budapest, City Theatre), etc

In 1998 she was the winner of the Hungarian Singing Competition called "Viadukt".

The roles she had already perfomed on stage are: Schönberg: Les miserables - Cosette; Gershwin: Crazy for you - Polly; Kálmán: Die Czardasfürstin - Anastazia; Ábrahám: Ball in Savoy - Daisy; Mozart: Don Giovanni - Zerlina; Mozart: Die Zauberflöte - Papagena; Kacsoh: János vitéz - French queen; Puccini: Gianni Schicchi - Lauretta; R. Strauss: Ariadné auf Naxos - Zerbinetta; Verdi: La Traviata - Violetta.

Since 2005. she is member of the company "Interoperett Budapest".
